Tune Therapeutics is genetic medicines relying on epigenome editing or what they call 'genetic tuning.' This allows control of gene expression without altering the DNA sequence. Their TEMPO platform makes targeted changes to how DNA is packaged and accessed in cells to tune gene expression up or down.

This is different than gene editing which cuts/breaks DNA strands. Genetic tuning might provide more control over gene expression, potentially reduce off-target effects, and allow targeting multiple genes simultaneously. With the vision to enable treating complex diseases involving multiple genes.
